The sapling planted in the year 1977 has bloomed into a full fledged school of plus two level having over 2500 students and over 120 staff members.
Burnpur Riverside School is the only English Medium School in the Burnpur Area run and managed by Burnpur Riverside School Educational Society. It is affiliated to CBSE, Delhi. At Senior Secondary level, students have choice of either Commerce or Science. With many achievements to its credit, its acclaim and fame has reached far and wide. Whatever BRS is today is only because of the untiring efforts, unflagging zeal, infinite patience and perseverance of the set of devoted teaching and non-teaching staffs, supportive parents, our bright students and members of the School Management.

HARVEST WATER; RENDER THE WORLD GREEN
By the next three years the school will implement effective rain-water harvesting methods within its premises. The harvested water would be used to water plants, clean school premises, wash toilets as well as use it as a reserve for emergency situations as fire; and thus save water. Linked to it would be a tree-plantation drive in and around the school.
